Figma Twilight Princess Link and Zelda Details Revealed!

I don’t know about you but these figures are quickly becoming some of my most anticipated releases!  Good Smile Company is teasing us some more with final promo shots of Twilight Princess Link and Zelda and they have also announced a release date.  What is an even bigger surprise is that Link is coming in two versions!  There will be a regular version and a DX version that comes with extra accessories (see the pictures below for more details on them).  Princess Zelda and Link 6000 yen ($59) and 5500 yen ($54) respectively.  The DX version of Link costs 6480 yen ($64).  Link and Zelda are scheduled for release in May 2017 and are up for pre-order on Good Smile Company and other Japanese retailer’s sites like amiami.com.  Keep in mind that some figures do get pushed back by Good Smile as the release date approaches and that could certainly happen here.  It is ambitious for them to release these figures together but it makes sense since many people will want to put Link and Zelda next to each other for their displays.

While we have seen images of Link and Zelda before, it is nice to get an idea of what accessories they have and some of the posing options as well.  Zelda has some really nice sculpted details and both of her weapons look excellent!  She does not look like the most dynamic figure however so that could be disappointing to some.  Link’s poses do look dynamic however and Good Smile really nails the style of Twilight Princess with this figure.  While the base version of Link looks great, the DX version with extra accessories looks even more awesome!  I don’t know if the accessories are quite as cool as Link to the Past but I’m very tempted by this DX Link and will probably pick it up since Twilight Princess is my second favorite Zelda game.  Good Smile is on a roll with Nintendo figures and it will be exciting to see where they go from here.

    • Those are all great franchises and I’ve been tempted to get some Final Fantasy figures especially 🙂 I think these will be some of the highest quality action figures available so if you’re interested in them at all, chances are very good that you’ll enjoy them!

      • Lake Hylia from LoZ JUST started playing on my computer so I think it’s a sign I’m definitely going to get these 😀

Figurines are such an expensive habit! Do you know what site they’ll be sold on? Or did I just miss that in your post?

      • No worries about the question! There are many places you can get these figures, I think I would consider Amiami.com if you want them as quickly and possibly as cheaply as you can and don’t mind ordering the figures coming straight from Japan. There are U.S. retailers who tend to charge a slightly higher price almost as if they think they’re a more convenient option or have better name recognition for US customers so that is worth keeping in mind too. I hope this info helps and let me know if you have any other questions!

      • I am more than likely getting that Zelda figurine. It’s one of the best I’ve ever seen. It would also be me breaking into the Zelda collectables since right now most of my figures consist of Final Fantasy and Game of Thrones.

      • Zelda is a pretty unique figure because there are almost none of her and this is one of the few higher quality figures that is/will be available. That makes the Figma Zelda seem special and it also means that you won’t have to buy a ton of other figures to “complete” your collection which is nice and will save you some money too 🙂

    • They are not cheap and if I had time to play more video games, I may not be able to afford them in all honesty haha! It is nice to hear from you as always Mike and keep up the great work with your site 🙂

      • Thanks Kuribo, You Too! Money managing is tough at the best of times, and with a trip to Barcelona next week, that has taken a huge chunk out of my savings. However it is to go to a huge Games Expo so it is definitely worth it and as Press which gives us access to the whole event.

  1. I really like the accessories for Link DX, especially that Hawkeye, haha. I overall like how these figures look, especially Zelda. I can see why they’d be near the top of your most anticipated list! Even I just wish I could put my hand across the screen and pose the figures!

    • Yeah, the accessories and the high level of posing options really attracts me to the Link DX too. Zelda has really nice detail too even if she is a little less exciting. Honestly, if they did a Gannondorf or Wolf Link, I’d probably commit myself to buy all of them. I haven’t preordered Link DX yet, but my finger is hovering over the button!
