New Zelda: Breath of the Wild Amiibo Unveiled!

Chances are good you have been following the Nintendo Switch news but slipped in amongst all of the exciting game announcements are two new Zelda Amiibo!  Princess (or is she a princess in this game?  We will have to play and find out!) Zelda and a Bokoblin will be getting an Amiibo.  There were some rumors a while back about the Guardian Amiibo possibly being cancelled and it looks like those rumors are definitely false because it is shown alongside these new Amiibo on Nintendo’s website which is also great news.  March 2017 is the release date of these new Amiibo and that is shaping up to be a very expensive month to be a Nintendo fan!  Here is an early look at the new Amiibo:

The early pictures of these two Amiibo look good and I feel like most of us will be facing a tough decision.  Which Amiibo do you get?  The two Links?  An awesome and huge Amiibo like Guardian?  Or do you plan on getting all of them release day?  Pre-orders are sure to open up for these Amiibo soon in places like Amazon and Best Buy and that could be a way to space out your expenses if you desire to own them all (financial advice in an Amiibo news article probably isn’t what you expected but we have to be ready for all of these expenses! XD)  Let us know what you think of these new Amiibo and which ones you’re most likely to buy in the comments below!

  1. I have to say that I absolutely love how the new Zelda looks, both in the game and in amiibo form. I just had to preorder her! I also preordered the other three amiibo, but didn’t get Bokoblin. The reason was the amiibo were more expensive than the usual. Each one was about $16 with the Guardian costing $20. I couldn’t justify getting the Bokoblin with that ramped up pricing structure. Maybe it’s because I got it at Best Buy or maybe they’re taking advantage to increase the costs of the Switch amiibo. Either way, I will admit they look amazing, which is why i couldn’t hold back getting most of them!

    • This is interesting news. Thank you for sharing! People have speculated that Guardian would be more expensive due to its size but something like Zelda or Bokoblin should not be more expensive in my opinion. I’m very curious to see what is going on with the Zelda pricing and since we’re relatively close to March, it is hard to believe that the price increases are likely to drop between now and then. At that price, I will probably buy a couple on release day and buy the rest slowly over time. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on these new Amiibo when you get them 🙂
