On the World of Nintendo Reddit, a Jakks Pacific employee has revealed the next wave of 4″ figures coming to World of Nintendo after there were some rumors swirling about future figure releases.  While there are no images to share, here is a list of the figures that we can expect to see soon.

Mario from Odyssey with Cappy

Propeller Mario with Coin

Green Koopa Troopa with a set of Wings

Shyguy with Propeller

Luigi with Koopa Shell

Just like the last wave, this is another Mario-exclusive release.  Most of these characters have been released before and they are variations on either accessories or outfits.  This may prove disappointing to some as repaints and variants are less exciting than brand new figure sculpts but I do look forward to seeing more about these figures before I make that judgement.

Interestingly, if you visit the link above, the Jakks employee also shares that some of the more obscure Nintendo characters are not likely to get a figure currently, including Donkey Kong Country characters.  It seems that World of Nintendo is going to be Mario focused for the foreseeable future and I wonder if the releases are being catered towards Game Stop who seems to be the biggest seller of the newest World of Nintendo wave.  That is totally speculation on my part but it will be interesting to see what happens in the future with World of Nintendo.
