New Kirby Figures in Japan!

If you’re a fan of Kirby, you may already be aware of this but Kirby merchandise is popular and prevalent in Japan and much harder to find in the United States.  Fortunately, a Japanese company known for high quality figures, Good Smile Company, is releasing some new Kirby figures that will be available in the US.  I want to give a shout out to the World of Nintendo Reddit where information like this is shared.  If you don’t check it regularly for figure news and opinions, I certainly recommend it!

Kirby Cocoroid Figures Good Smile Company Japan

First up, Good Smile has unveiled a set of Kirby Cocoroid figures that pay tribute to Kirby’s various designs over the years.  These figures remind of the toys you can get out of capsule machines in Japan but I’m not completely sure if that is how they are going to be sold or not.  Either way, if you like Kirby and want something retro, this is one of the few options out there.

Beam Kirby Nendoroid Teaser Image Good Smile Company

Next up is just a teaser image but will be exciting for Nendoroid fans.  Another Kirby Nendoroid is coming soon!  This one is Beam Kirby which is definitely an iconic power-up from the games.  We don’t know a lot other than this image but as Good Smile finalizes the design and accessories, you can be sure there will be plenty of updates.  Hopefully the figure comes with a large amount of accessories that build off of the previous Kirby figures too.

If you’ve never purchased a Japanese figure like these before, these figures will be available through Japanese retailers like AmiAmi.com and eventually US stores like Amazon will stock them too.
