About

NintendoFigures.com was founded in the summer of 2015 with three goals in mind.  To be a resource for collectors and Nintendo fans for everything figure related.  To be a positive place where people can go to enhance their enjoyment of the figure collecting hobby.  And finally, to be a website that gives a fair and honest assessment of figures and business decisions by the companies involved.  This site is not endorsed or related to Nintendo in any way.  It is written by fans of Nintendo who love and support the company.

I have been a Nintendo fan for my entire life and have fond memories of playing NES, SNES, and Gameboy all the way up until the current systems.  I enjoy video games of all kinds, but have found that Nintendo makes the best and most enjoyable games for me.

Figure collecting is a much different story.  I never was into playing with action figures as a kid and only had a few until the Star Wars movies “relaunched” in the late 90’s.  Not only did I fall in love with Star Wars, but I became very interested in collecting the action figures of as many characters as I could.  It was really fun going to Toys R Us and the grocery store trying to find any figures I didn’t have and building up my collection over time.  While none of those figures are valuable, I’m still proud and have kept my collection to this day.  After Phantom Menace, I lost interest in action figures in the wait between Episode One and Two.

It wasn’t until Amiibo were released that I was finally drawn back in and have returned to Nintendo figure collecting.  Since their release, I have tried a number of different Nintendo figure lines and cover Amiibo, Micro Land, World of Nintendo, and Nendoroids as well as some non-Nintendo stuff here on NintendoFigures.com

If you have questions or would like to contact me, my email is: abercrombie_jeff@yahoo.com.  I can be found on Wii U with screenname: Kuribo / Kuribosboot.  I also can also be found on the following social media: Twitter and DeviantArt.

  1. Hi Kuribo, I am adding another page to my website titled “Collaborators” and was wondering if you would like to be included? I will need a short bio about you and your interests and can talk about your website as well. I would also like a profile pic which can be a photo or avatar, its not a problem.

    • Mike,

I should be able to get that to you in the near future. I’ll write a more generalized bio and maybe take a few details from the one on here too. I will see about getting a profile picture too. I need to get one on this site so it will be good to finally have an excuse to figure that out! 🙂

    • Hello! This may be an odd place to ask a question (feel free to delete) but have you heard anything about a Cat Rosalina or Cat Peach figure, ever? The only mention of either was for an unreleased Micro Land set that seems pretty sure won’t be produced. The only renditions of either I can find are old figures from Japanese chocolate eggs from 2014 (and they are scalper-priced on ebay, and pretty rare.)

      • Hello and this is a great question. I do think there might have been a Micro Land Cat Peach in the works before the line fizzled out. It is possible that a Cat Peach may eventually come out in the Micro Nintendo Blind Boxes but as you might have seen me speculate on the site, I don’t think that line of mini-figures will sell that well.

With that said, I think your best bet is to keep an eye on World of Nintendo 2.5″ and 4″ figures. They have made Cat Mario, Luigi, and Toad and it would not surprise me if we get a Cat Peach or Rosalina at some point in the near future. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, the only other options are the Gachapon figures you already found and the plushies which are also probably old enough that they are now expensive online. While that isn’t great news in the short term, I do think it is likely we’ll see a Cat Peach figure eventually and we’ll have to keep our fingers crossed in the meantime!

    • If I could give you an award Mr. Panda, I would make it The Nicest Guy On The Internet Award. I can’t tell you how often I appreciate your positive and kind words. I think we need that kind of spirit in our blogging community and I wanted to make sure you know that it is appreciated. Thank you for the award and for being a loyal reader!

  2. […] Kuribo at Nintendofigures.com – It’s great to meet a fellow Amiibo addict. I always laugh when you bring up the “pee stick” affliction that the early figures suffered from (SSB Link is the worst offender by far, lol). You’ve put together detailed buying guides and have shown many sweet plastic figures I’d like to own someday. Those Zelda and Link Figmas look stunning. […]

    • Hi Raymond,

I’m not sure what pictures you’re talking about specifically but if you would like to print out pictures for your own use, I think you should be fine. If you’re trying to sell them or pass them off on your own, then that would not be okay. I hope this information helps and let me know if you have any other questions!
